Greetings world. I have been quite busy as of late which is the reason for my limited writing. All is going very well though. Our TEAM IN TRAINING athletes are coming off an outstanding weekend in St. Petersburg Florida at the St. Anthony’s triathlon. We had two slight casualties during the course of the race and as unfortunate as that is, the dignity and courage that both athletes displayed through their disappointment makes them both champions in my book.

Many of you know that I have been nominated to run for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year award. The Man & Woman of the Year is a national campaign to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. In case you are not aware of my story, I will give you a few of the highlights. I have been an athlete my entire life, and have been racing endurance sports for close to 25 years so I am also living proof that cancer doesn’t play by any rules.

I gave a talk today at the Endurance Sports Expo on “Motivation and Perspective”. I attempted to piece together the highlights of the talk into some kind of legible or at least readable format. Hopefully it translates ok. So, here ya go … the key points anyway.
